Basic Life Support (BLS)

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Who should take this course?

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Heartcode BLS

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
 

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Who should take this course?

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
 
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED trains anyone with little or no medical training to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
 
 
Blended Learning
 
Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on skills session. The hands-on skills session is completed in person with an AHA Instructor.

The American Heart Association's Instructor Course is designed to certify qualified individuals to be able to certify others in BLS and/or Heartsaver. An Instructor must align with an approved Training Center/Site with The American Heart Association. Heart and Soul CPR LLC is proud to be an approved Training Site. 

 

Once certified and aligned, you, the instructor, are able to be your own entity when it comes to certifying people. You can teach for other people, or you can start your own business. The sky is the limit!

Purpose:

The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to assess, recognize and care for patients who are experiencing respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction or opioid overdose. When a patient experiences a life threatening emergency, healthcare providers need to act swiftly and promplty. The course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

 

Who should take this course:

BLS Courses are designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

 

Please Note:

This is a hybrid/blended course. You will have to complete the online coursework PRIOR to the in person class that you are registering for. Once you submit your registration, you will receive an email with directions on how to activate your online course. 

Purpose:

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program is designed to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person when minutes matter, and to decide whther advanced medical care is needed. 

 This course INCLUDES: Adult, Child and Infant

 

Who Should Take This Course:

Lay responder courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. Examples of industries that need CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications are: daycares, construction, massage therapists, physical therapists.
